At EasyLink, we manufacture reusable steel boxes and wire mesh containers for parts moving between suppliers, warehouses and the production line. Our collapsible range combines a steel base with folding walls, keeping the container together when it returns empty.
We can customize the dimensions, access gates and internal layout around the parts being carried. A box used for delivery and line-side supply can combine an open top for loading, a drop gate for picking and folding panels for the return journey.
Steel boxes and mesh containers for parts delivery
We manufacture both solid-sided steel pallet boxes and wire mesh containers. Solid panels enclose the sides of the load; mesh keeps the contents visible for stock checks. Liners provide a further option for small loose parts, covering openings and separating the contents from the outer mesh.
The interior can remain open for bulk parts or be divided into individual compartments. For components that require separation, we can adapt the internal layout around their shape and packed quantity. Liners and dividers form part of that layout, alongside the space used by the parts themselves.
For supplier deliveries, we can also adapt the box footprint to the vehicle loading arrangement and configure the base for the handling equipment. This brings the batch quantity, truck layout and forklift access into the specification of the same container.

Drop-gate access at the workstation
Our drop-gate containers allow parts to be loaded from above and picked through the side at the workstation. The steel box pictured later in this article has a two-section front panel: its upper section folds down while the lower section stays in place to contain the remaining parts.
Gate position, opening size and box depth can be customized for the workstation layout and picking method. For a divided load, the compartments can be arranged around the direction in which the parts are removed. This is useful for long or shaped components that need clearance through the opening.

Folding the empty container for return
The blue steel box below is one of our collapsible designs. Its wall panels fold inward and remain attached to the base. The box returns as one assembly, with the same footprint and a lower empty height.

The front and rear walls fold into the base area before the end panels close over them. The corner structure remains in place throughout. Models designed for folded stacking allow empties to be grouped in one storage position within their rated stacking limits.

Internal fittings are also part of the return arrangement. Removable inserts can be packed separately; fittings designed to remain inside occupy the space left around the folded panels. With a lined or divided container, the return configuration includes both the steel box and its internal packaging.
The base on this steel box retains fork access after folding. Empty units can be collected in their compact form for storage and loading.

On regular supplier-to-factory routes, folded containers can travel back on the returning delivery vehicle. They unfold at the supplier for the next batch, keeping the same steel boxes in repeated use.
